Sanjay Leela Bhansali 's magnum opus ' Bajirao Mastani ' finally hit the theatres yesterday, on December 18th. After all the buzz and ample publicity, the film was expected to do well. But, due to another biggie - ' Dilwale ', also in the play, there was a constant talk and predictions of its box-office collections. At last, the speculations can rest, as the first day domestic box-office of BM are out.

The film made a good opening on its first Friday raking in Rs. 12.80 crores at the domestic front. The period drama stars Ranveer Singh , Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the leads. The movie received 3050 screens and, is running on positive word of mouth. The reviews have been fantastic, which is working in favour of the film. SLB's historical saga could have raked in more numbers, had it been a solo release. Still, it is standing strong with its head high welcoming ample footfalls at the theatres.
