With the starting of the September, Bollywood presented the treat of two films, namely, \'Zanjeer\' and \'Shuddh Desi Romance\' to the audience. Also, this Friday marked the debut of two actors, Ram Charan Teja and Vaani Kapoor in B-Town, through their respective films.
Taking in note of the remake of 1973\'s classic cult \'Zanjeer\', Ram Charan Teja\'s \'Zanjeer\' failed to create the niche, followed by poor box-office collection. The movie indeed had the strong star cast comprising of Ram Charan Teja, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj, Mahi Gill, Atul Kulkarni and the dashing director Apoorva Lakhia, who had earlier delivered hits in action genre. In spite of all the plus points, the \'Zanjeer\' remake spunk at the box-office.
According to the reports, \'Zanjeer\' opened with inferior occupancy of 20-25% all over India at the box-office. Also, the figures didn\'t rise up till the first day\'s last show. Made out of big-budget, it made below than average business of 3.5-4 Cr at the box-office. With such a poor opening collection, it is estimated that \'Zanjeer\' will have to strive hard in the coming days.
While the rival release, \'Shuddh Desi Romance\' was in full swing since morning and the occupancy was increasing after one show to another. Even in UP, where people prefer action oriented films, they picked up \'Shuddh Desi Romance\' over \'Zanjeer\'.
