Ram Gopal Varma arrived with his new crime-thriller ' Satya 2 ' that flaunted the tagline as "Ek Naye Underworld Ki Shuruwat". After crossing many legal hurdles, the movie finally released on November 8. ' Satya 2 ' featured newcomers like Punit Singh Ratn , Aleesha Gupta , Anaika Soti and Mahesh Thakur .

The film could not offer anything new and received lackluster response at the box office. As per the reports, the flick registered around 20% to 30% occupancy in single screens during its matinee shows on Friday. However, in the multiplexes, the film could witness around 5% occupancy. Trade experts expect the film to perform better in evening and night shows. One of the prominent reasons why ' Satya 2 ' could not attract the audience to the theaters, is the last week's release ' Krrish 3 ', which is alluring the masses with the best quality visual effects. The Hollywood release 'Thor: The Dark World' also proved a tough competitor for Varma's film. ' Satya 2 ' is anticipated to collect 0.80 crore nett on its opening day.

The film should do good business in the first week of its release, as it will certainly face tough competition from next week's releases like ' Ram-leela ' and ' Rajjo '.
