The Friday of March 7 saw three movies locking horns with each other at the box office; 'Gulaab Gang', 'Queen' and 'Total Siyapaa'. All three of them promised to be a great entertainer by looking at their trailers and song videos. The Hollywood film '300: Rise Of An Empire' also hit the screens on the same day. So, it was a real tough fight among all these entertainers.
Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Queen' opened with around 20% occupancy on the opening day and gained several positive reviews from the critics. Also, the film witnessed positive word-of-mouth publicity from the audience. It was a tale of a common girl, who goes on her honeymoon alone. The movie holds a potential to fuel up the numbers at the box office during the evening shows.
'Total Siyapaa' featuring Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam talked about a love story in which the guy is a Pakistani, whereas the girl is an Indian Punjabi. The movie observed the occupancy of around 15% on Friday. The reviews it got from the critics were also not much delightful. Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla starrer 'Gulaab Gang' proved a tough competitor for these two entertainers. The first weekend performance of 'Queen' and 'Total Siyapaa' will decide the future of the films.
