\'Ghanchakkar\', the first release of Vidya Balan in this year, had plenty of reasons to pull up a large number of crowd. The most important reason is the rocking pair of Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan, which lastly sizzled in the super hit flick \'The Dirty Picture\'. Also the trailer of the flick and songs composed by Amit Trivedi were seemingly saucy. These facets could have helped this film in attaining thumbs up from the masses, if the storyline would have gone hand in hand with the comedy genre.
\'Ghanchakkar\' startlingly opened with an average start at the box-office on the very first day of its release. The mixed reviews minimized the amount of viewers in multiplexes, spreading a poor word-of-mouth about the movie. Because of being a meager comic caper, it did not go up to the expectations of movie-buffs. The film was opened at just 25% opening in NCR, whereas, it could occupy sheer 20% in East Punjab. There was 30% occupancy in Mumbai for the morning shows. Now, only the performance of the movie in evening and night shows can lend a helping hand to it. Also, a tough competition with the other releases like \'Raanjhanaa\', \'Fukrey\' and \'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani\' can give \'Ghanchakkar\' a good run for money.
The professed comic-thriller flick \'Ghanchakkar\' directed by Rajkumar Gupta, must grab at least 6 to 7 crore nett on Friday to sustain itself in the pond of the other Bollywood biggies.
