June 27 marked the release of much-awaited thriller ' Ek Villain ' featuring Shraddha Kapoor , Siddharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh . The movie was expected to do well at the ticket window due to its fresh star cast, chartbuster music and trailer that raised the curiosity among the viewers.

Mohit Suri 's directorial is anticipated to do wonders at multiplexes in metros than in smaller towns. The regions like Kanpur, Surat, Valsad, Lucknow Bangalore and UP recorded great advance booking for the film, as per the report. ' Ek Villain ' is expected to have 40% occupancy during the morning shows and will rise to 70% during the evening shows, as predicted by trade pundits. The mystery-thriller recorded occupancy of 60% in morning shows and the evening shows witnessed 80% opening.

Released across more than 2300 screens, the film performed well in Mumbai, Gujarat and central India, reportedly. The flick received mixed response from the critics and if it manages to achieve good word-of-mouth publicity, ' Ek Villain ' is anticipated to collect around 11 crore nett on its opening day, as per the early trend.
