    'English Vinglish' Opening Day Box Office Collections

    Despite praises from the film critics, the opening day box office collections of 'English Vinglish' were disappointing.

    Despite praises from the film critics, the opening day box office collections of ' English Vinglish ' were disappointing. It is reported to earn nearly INR 3 Crores (as per early estimates) on its 1st day.

    It earned mostly from multiplexes where evening shows occupancies were better than morning show occupancy. Even though this movie's making budget is not too high, it needs to earn close to 12 Crores in its first weekend to avoid loss.

    This film stars Sridevi in the lead role and there was a lot of hype over her comeback. This film is a good film and it should show growth in its business on Saturday and Sunday.
