Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dilwale' directed by Rohit Shetty has witnessed a healthy first weekend box-office collections. Despite the protests, and the big clash, the numbers are said to be quite good. The movie features the evergreen onscreen pair of SRK and Kajol in the lead and young actors Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan in pivotal roles.
The film raked in Rs. 21 crore on its first Friday, Rs. 20.09 crores on Saturday and Rs. 24 crores on Sunday, making its total first weekend collection stand at Rs. 65.09 crores at the domestic markets. The box-office collections are naturally affected by another big film 'Bajirao Mastani' which is running supremely well on positive word of mouth. The genres of both these films are completely different. One is a light hearted Bollywood film while another is a historical love saga.
