Raj Kapoor’s Awaara was the first Bollywood film to release in China, which turned out to be decent deal. But years later, with Aamir Khan’s Dangal, the Chinese frontiers have converted into a booming market. Reportedly, Dangal has crossed the 100 Crore mark in China within 5 days of its release.

Dangal received the grand release in China, with over 9000 screens on May 5. As per the latest reports, it had already raked 120 Crores till Tuseday evening. Thus, registering the highest box-office collection record in the foreign land.

In April, Aamir and Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari were in China to attend and promote their film at Bejing Film Festival. Citing to his earlier PK release, Dangal already had an established market in China.

Dangal is biographical film on the life of wrestler Mahaveer Singh Phogat and his Olympian daughters Geeta and Babita. It ventured into Chinese market as ‘Shuai Jiao Baba’, which means “Lets Wrestle, Dad”.
