Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Bajirao Mastani' is performing exceptionally well at the theatres. The movie has been liked by the cine goers and critics alike. After all the buzz and plentiful publicity, the film was expected to do well. The movie witnessed a good start at the domestic box-office on its first weekend.
The historical love saga made Rs. 12.80 crores on Friday, Rs. 15.52 crores on Saturday and Rs. 18.45 on Sunday, making the total first weekend collection stand at Rs. 46.77 crores at the domestic markets. The period drama stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the leads. The movie received 3050 screens and, the reviews have been fantastic, which is working in favour of the film. SLB's historical drama could have raked in more numbers, had it been a solo release. SRK's 'Dilwale' is also enjoying ample footfalls citing the light hearted genre and super stellar star cast.
