    'Airlift' witnesses a fantastic opening on its first Friday!

    Akshay Kumar starrer 'Airlift' opened up for a huge number on its first Friday at the domestic box-office.

    Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur starrer film ' Airlift ' has witnessed a fantastic opening on its first day. The film made Rs. 12.35 crores at the domestic box-office. The film has received critical acclaim and accolades. It carries a positive word of mouth and hence the numbers are expected to improve in the coming days. As, the film is ideally released before the Republic Day, the thriller is set to profit from the extended weekend.

    ' Airlift ' is based on the real life incident and narrates the story of an unsung hero who with his wit and courage managed to rescue more that 1 lakh 70 thousand Indians stranded in a war zone of 'Kuwait'. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon , the film also stars Purab Kohli . The thriller released along with Tusshar Kapoor and Aftab starrer ' Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 '.
