A smooth run for Hindi Medium and Half Girlfriend at the Box office on Day 7

Hindi Medium and Half Girlfriend were released last week and are still going steady at the box office. Hindi Medium stars Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in the lead roles and is directed by Saket Chaudhary. The film earned 2.08 crores on its first day and has collected 25.21 crore till now. Being in competition with a huge film like Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, Hindi Medium has fared well.

Hindi Medium won hearts over its concept and critics were all praises for Irrfan Khan’s performance in the film. Irrfan Khan promoted the film by recreated memes with AIB and it worked.

Half Girlfriend stars Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles and is directed by Mohit Suri. The film started with a collection of 10.27 crores on its first day and is reaching at almost 50 crores figure with 49.19 crores collection on Day 7. The movie was trolled endlessly over social media soon after its trailer was released and it seems to have worked in its favour. The movie received mixed reviews from the audiences and the critics.

As the movies enter the second week they have another competition waiting for them - Sachin: A Billion Dreams. The Sachin biopic is estimated to be a huge hit and the other films might suffer ahead in the week.
