‘Leo’ box office collection day 9: Vijay's film has been declining since its strong start. According to early estimates provided by Sacnilk.com, the film entered its second week of release and grossed 7 crore on its second Friday. It now has a domestic total of 271.25 crore.
‘Leo’ had a 64.8 crore opening in India but was dropped to nearly half of that amount in the following days due to poor reviews and word of mouth. With a collection of 39.8 crore on its first Sunday, it showed some progress. It has been on a downward trend since Wednesday after earning 30.7 crore on Dussehra. On Friday, it had fallen to only 7 crore. It made 264.25 crore in its first week, but that figure is expected to be substantially lower in its second week.
‘Leo’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, stars Vijay and Trisha. The primary cast also includes Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Sarja. After the 2021 smash ‘Master’, Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj reunite in ‘Leo’.
Lokesh was injured on Tuesday while promoting the film at the Aroma Theatre in Palakkad, Kerala. A big crowd had assembled outside the Palakkad theatre to witness him. The filmmaker had to cancel his other two fan engagements in the state due to the injury.

"Thank you, Kerala, for your love," he said in an update on X. “I am overwhelmed, thrilled, and glad to see all of you at Palakkad. I was unable to attend the other two sites or the press conference due to a minor injury in the crowd. I would definitely return to Kerala to see you all again soon. Continue to appreciate #Leo with the same zeal till then."
