It surpassed Baahubali 2's previous record of Rs. 11 crores by taking in a record-breaking Rs. 24 crores plus in its seventh week, setting yet another weekly record. Beginning with the fifth week, the movie now holds three consecutive weekly records. With 344 crores already earned, the film's overall box office receipts in India are getting close to 350 crores. For a total worldwide revenue of Rs. 377 crores, it has earned an additional Rs. 33 crores in foreign markets, and it may aim for Rs. 400 crores by the time it is finished.

Kantara beats Bollywood films at the theatres

Kantara is performing extraordinarily well in spite of fierce competition from Bollywood and fresh releases every Friday. The movie was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam in the middle of October as a result of positive word-of-mouth. Along with Kantara Hindi, new Bollywood films like Phone Bhoot, Ram Setu, Thank God, Mili, Double XL, and Uunchai have also been left behind.
