Kantara had another successful weekend at the Indian box office, bringing in almost 32 crores of rupees during its fourth weekend. Given the several new releases it had to contend with, the decline from the third weekend was only 17 percent, which is an astounding hold. The movie is now playing during the weekdays leading up to the Diwali festival, which will boost sales. Before the conclusion of the fourth week, the movie's total box office receipts in India will surpass the 200 crore rupee threshold. It has now made an estimated total of Rs. 188 crores at the box office globally, surpassing KGF Chapter by another Rs. 18 crores ($2.20 million).

Kantara leaves KGF behind

Kantara has made approximately 111 crores rupees in Karnataka, with a fourth weekend gross of 14 crores rupees, which is double that of KGF 2's whole fourth week. On Wednesday at the earliest, the movie will pass Baahubali 2 in box office revenue to overtake it as the second-highest earner in state history. There is no sign of the movie's momentum slowing down; at this rate, its total gross should more than double to Rs. 150 crores. The target audience for KGF 2 is definitely a little too high, but with this movie, you never know.

About Kantara

Action-thriller Kantara honors the customs of Kambla and Bhootha Kola by showcasing their traditional culture. A local deity (Bhoota), whose name translates to "mystical forest," makes a deal with a king in 1870 to sell forest land to the tribe's members in exchange for happiness. The king's son is killed by Bhootha's fury many years later when he becomes avaricious and demands the land back. The main character is played by Rishab. This film has been hailed by many as his best work. Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, and Naveen D Padil are a few of the cast members of Kantara.
