On the 23rd day of its release, Kamal Hassan's Tamil blockbuster Vikram zoomed past the Rs 400 crore worldwide in terms of box office collection. On its fourth Saturday, the film's collection stood at approximately Rs. 404 crores, of which Rs. 284 crores came from the Indian ticket windows whereas the overseas collection stood at Rs. 120 crores ($15.35 million approximately).
On Friday, Vikram collected Rs 2.75 crore and the figure almost doubled to Rs 5 crore on Saturday. The fourth week collection of the film now stands at Rs 14 crore approx.
The crime drama has already bagged the coveted tag of being the second highest-grossing Kollywood movie of all time. It is also the only second Kollywood movie to breach the Rs. 400 crore mark at the box office.

India: Rs. 283.75 crore.

A spiritual successor of the 1986 film with the same name starring Kamal Hassan, Vikram is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International.
The film stars Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. Kalidas Jayaram, Narain and Chemban Vinod Jose play supporting roles while Suriya makes a cameo appearance.
