Judwaa 2 still going strong in week 2, crosses 125 crore mark!

This David Dhawan’s directorial film starring Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead has managed to remain strong even in Week 2. It is a complete family entertainer which the audience have been thoroughly enjoying. Judwaa 2 is the sequel to the 90s hit film Judwaa starring Salman Khan which makes it even more special. The Judwaa 2 once again marked the successful collaboration of David Dhawan and Sajid Nadiadwala.

The film made Rs. 4.25 crores on its second Friday. It further raked in Rs. 5.75 crores on Saturday and Rs. 8.10 crores on Sunday (Weekend 2). The movie raked in Rs. 2.91 crores on Monday, Rs. 2.45 crores on Tuesday, rs. 2.25 crores on Wednesday, Rs. 2.05 cores on Thursday (Week 2). Hence the total collection stands at Rs. 125.84 crores at the domestic box-office. The film surpassed the lifetime business of Varun’s Badrinath Ki Dulhania (116.60 crores) thus making it Varun’s highest grossing solo hero film.

The film had a perfect release timing with a long holiday weekend. It gained maximum collection during the festivities as people enjoyed a massy family entertainer. The movie also features Salman Khan in a cameo role which further gave a boost to the film. With no big releases this Friday, the film is expected to benefit further.
