    Rajkummar Rao starrer film Newton has garnered appreciation and accolades from the viewers and critics alike. The movie has witnessed growth in its box-office collection due to the positive word of mouth, also, its selection as India’s official entry to the 2018 Oscars helped to further gain momentum. Along with Rajkummar Rao , the film has an eminent and talented star cast including Pankaj Tripathi , Anjali Patil , Raghubir Yadav and Sanjay Mishra among others.

    Here is how director Amit Masurkar ’s film fared during its first week at the domestic box-office.

    The movie narrates the tale of a newly recruited government employee named Nutan Kumar a.k.a. Newton, played by Rajkummar Rao , who is entrusted with the responsibility of carrying out a fair election in a Naxal hit area.
