Simran collected Rs. 2.77 crores on its opening Friday, followed by Rs. 3.76 crores on Saturday, and Rs. 4.12 crores on Sunday. The movie further raked in Rs. 1.41 crores on Monday, Rs. 1.25 crores on Tuesday, Rs. 1.16 crores on Wednesday and Rs. 1.01 crores on Thursday. Hence, the total collection stands at Rs. 15.48 crores at the domestic markets.
Recently, filmmaker Hansal Mehta took to Twitter to express his views on the response to Simran and also to clear the speculations of him deleting his account. He wrote: “Since so many people are speculating about me deleting my twitter a/c here I am. Thankful for both the love and criticism coming our way. #Simran is an unconventional film about an unusual character. I’m very proud of it.”
