‘Gadar 2’ is unstoppable at the box office, and on its third day of release, the Sunny Deol-led juggernaut showed no signs of slowing down. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Anil Sharma-directed movie enjoyed a record-breaking Sunday with sales estimated to be worth Rs 52 cr. In order to put things into perspective, Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster 'Pathaan,' which debuted on January 25,2023 Wednesday, had its three-day collections at Rs 161 cr (Hindi), with its second day having the best ever single day collection of Rs 68 cr nett due to Republic Day. 'Pathaan' made Rs 271 crore over the five-day extended weekend.

Despite a clash with Akshay Kumar's ‘OMG 2,’ which resulted in restricted showcasing, particularly at multiplexes, ‘Gadar 2’ has performed phenomenally well at the box office. In Sunny Deol's 40-year career, ‘Gadar 2’ has already established itself as his best success. The actor, 65, began his career in ‘Betaab’ (1983), and ‘Gadar’ (2001) was before that film his highest-grossing movie.

Regarding 'Gadar 2's movie office success, the actor commented, “I am indeed very happy. When we did the second part of Gadar, we never knew it would be so loved by the audience. Two whole generations have gone by since we did the first Gadar. And still, people are as excited as they were the first time. I am amazed and very, very happy. We need some hits to keep the film industry on its feet.”
