Just when we thought that Aamir Khan ’s sports biopic Dangal has ended its box office journey after doing unprecedented business at the Indian and Chinese box office, the film has now set out to achieve more milestones in terms of box office figures. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial, which hit screens on 23rd December in India, was recently released in Hong Kong across a decent screen count. Considering the massive popularity of the film in Asia, it was expected that the film would star well at the Hong Kong box office. But no one had thought it will become a phenomenon there.

Following are the figures which Dangal has raked in so far at the Hong Kong box office:

Thursday: HK$ 668,336

Friday: HK$ 811,180

Saturday: HK$ 1,579,755

Sunday: HK$ 1,572,353

Total: HK$ 5,218,521

If we convert the above-mentioned figures into Indian currency, Dangal has made around Rs. 4.26 crores at the Honk Kong box office over the weekend, which is just phenomenal considering the fact that Indian films generally don’t do that well in the country.

After adding Rs. 4.26 crores to the current income of Dangal , the worldwide collection of the movie reaches up to Rs. 1882 crores. With this humongous collection, the film has set a record which is going to be extremely tough for other films to even come close to, let alone breaking it.

Besides Aamir Khan , Dangal also stars Sakshi Tanwar , Fatima Sana Shaikh and Zaira Wasim .
