Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, which released on 9 September 2022, has surpassed SS Rajamouli's RRR to become the film with the second highest opening week collection.
As per reports, the fantasy drama has grossed over Rs 170.20 crore in the first week of release. With this feat, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has left behind Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer RRR, whose first week collection stand at Rs 101.49 crore.
However, the Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor starrer is yet to beat the first week collection of Kannada superstar Yash's KGF Chapter 2 (which minted a whopping Rs. 268.63 in week one).
Apart from KGF 2 and Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, first week collection of some other prominent films are as follows:

>Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: Rs. 92.05 crore.
>Gangubai Kathiawadi: Rs. 68.93 crore.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva features an ensemble starcast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
It follows the story of Shiva (played by Ranbir), an orphan with pyrokinetic powers who discovers that he is an astra, a weapon of enormous energy. Shiva attempts to prevent the strongest of the astras, the Brahmāstra, from falling into the hands of dark forces that share a history with him.
