Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s Bareilly Ki Barfi seems to have charmed the audience despite getting mixed reviews from the critics. However, a lot of industry mates and insiders along with fans have expressed their liking and appreciation about the film on social media. The lead actors Ayushman Khurana , Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao have been overwhelmed with praises for their performances in the movie. The film that started on a low note, did see growth during the weekend.

The film made Rs. 2.42 crores on its opening Friday, Rs. 3.85 crores on Saturday and growing further, it made Rs. 5.03 crores on Sunday. Hence the total three-day collection stands at Rs. 11.30 crores at the domestic front. The movie has been made on a small tight budget and hence cost recovery does not seem a problem if the same pace is maintained during the weekdays.

Bareilly Ki Barfi is set at the backdrop of a small town where Kriti essays a modern free-spirited girl who is in search of an author. Rajkummar Rao essays the author while Ayushman plays the publisher’s role.
