It is still the most talked about film of the year, after all, director Anees Bazmee was coming back with his style of total Bollywood comedy film Mubarakan , starring Arjun Kapoor in double role along with Anil Kapoor , with who Anees had fun and successful chemistry. By the trailer, it was all filled with the hilarious performance by male leads and a bucketful of funny dialogues which will surely leave audience bursting with laughter. But did Mubarakan strike gold at the box office, because of its powerful promotion!

The things didn't happen as planned or predicted! Despite heavy promotion, the film managed to gather just 15-20% of attendance in the movie theatres. And with such low attendance, it can be considered as decent as it still has a positive vibe and good reviews from critics and audience and many of the appreciation its humor. With the total cash checked in box office counter was 5.25 crores and the weekend is yet to finish. It is predicted that by the end of the weekend, it might just earn 20crores in the collection.

Though it is not fair to compare one film’ success of failure of the box office to other films the year other two disappointing films, Rabta (5.61 cr) and Munna Michael (6.65) earned more than Mubarakan on the first day of filmy Friday.

Mubarakan is a comedy film about twins, separated at childhood, decided to take the help of their uncle to tell their families about their girlfriends and the hilarious chaos happen in the meantime is what would make you laugh! The casting of the film also includes Ileana D’cruz , Athiya Shetty , Neha Sharma, Rahul Dev, Karan Kundra, Ratna Pathak , Anil Mange and also Pavan Malhotra .
