Zoya Akhtar's ‘The Archies’ will debut with three-star kids of Bollywood Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda. Since the first announcement of the film. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see the characters in a different take.

This is not the first time the iconic comic book has met a real-life story. The popular Hollywood television show ‘Riverdale’ took a dark spin on the same characters. It is exciting to see what this promising director will present. The film will also star Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, and Yuvraj Menda in key roles. Recently a new poster of the film was unveiled which showcased the main cast. A video was also shared on the internet where Zoya is speaking to the CEO of The Archies comics, Jon Goldwater. Jon shared how he has wanted to collaborate on a project in India. He added that upon hearing the Indian adaptation he was excited. He mentioned how the characters were created in 1941.

Zoya was honoured upon taking up this project and said, “I have to say, it’s such a pleasure and an absolute honour to be asked to make the Indian adaptation for this very iconic comic. It’s a huge part of my childhood. I have grown up reading it. And it’s very exciting to be able to take the characters and introduce them to a new generation and at the same time keep that nostalgia and the essence of the comic alive for people like me who grew up on it. We have set it in the Anglo-Indian community of India and it’s in a magical, fictional, hill-station town in the country – I mean the town is called Riverdale – it’s fictional.”

Not long ago the ‘Gully Boy’ director announced the schedule wrap of the film. Fans are eager to catch the film or at least a trailer soon.
