Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, is in Mumbai for Tuesday's big Apple store opening. When in Mumbai, you should do what the locals do. On Monday, Mr. Cook tried vada pav, the city's favourite snack, and he did so with other important people. Madhuri Dixit took Mr. Cook to a local restaurant with two locations in Mumbai, to show him how good vada pav is. Ms. Dixit posted a picture of herself and Tim Cook on Twitter. Both of them were holding vada pav and a table full of plates.
"Can't think of a better welcome to Mumbai than Vada Pav," Madhuri Dixit tweeted. "Thanks for introducing me to my first Vada Pav – it was delicious," replied Tim Cook.
The thread of comments on Madhuri Dixit's tweet, which was to be expected, went crazy. People on Twitter told her that she should take Tim Cook to a local restaurant in Mumbai and told her about their best restaurants. They also turned a line from one of her most famous songs into a pun on the Apple CEO's last name. Several joke comments to Madhuri Dixit's tweet said, "Cook cook cook cook…," joked several replies to Madhuri Dixit's tweet – the song Choli Ke Peeche from her 1993 film Khal Nayak begins "Ku ku ku ku…" – as any Madhuri or Bollywood fan will know.
