World Digital Premiere of Kajol's ‘Salaam Venky’ on THIS day! Read to find out

OTT giant Zee5 has announced the 'World Digital Premiere' of Kajol-starrer 'Salaam Venky'. The poignant drama, helmed by actor and National Award-winning filmmaker Revathy, will premiere on the OTT platform in Hindi from 10 February 2023.

Jointly produced by Suuraj Sinngh, Shraddha Agrawal and Vishal Kukreja, 'Salaam Venky' portrays the story of a mother who takes on challenging situations and goes on the path less trodden, all for her son.

Featuring heart winning performances by Kajol and Vishal Jethwa, 'Salaam Venky' is based on the true story of a young boy diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Actors like Rahul Bose, Aahana Kumra, Prakash Raj, Rajeev Khandelwal, Priyamani and Anant Mahadevan star in pivotal roles in the film, with Aamir Khan making a cameo appearance.

'Salaam Venky' is a poignant tale of a young man who wants to die with dignity

Talking of the storyline, 'Salaam Venky' follows the life of Vishal, a chess player, who suffers from a rare disorder. It showcases his legal battle for euthanasia, not before he donates his organs before his physical degeneration renders them useless.

The crux of the movie revolves around his mother Sujatha (played by Kajol), a doctor (played by Rajeev Khandelwal), a lawyer (played by Rahul Bose) and a journalist (played by Aahana Kumra) all helping him claim his right to die a death of dignity.
