Priyanka Chopra has discussed her much-anticipated movie, Jee Le Zaraa, since her recent return to Mumbai after a three-year absence. The film, directed by Farhan Akhtar, also features Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. This will be Priyanka's first time working with women. Since it was revealed, it has been in the news. Fans can't wait to see this fantastic foursome on the big screen. The epidemic, however, postponed the film's shooting schedule. In a recent interview, Priyanka discussed the movie and explained how it would give female performers more freedom in their personal lives.
How Priyanka Chopra's call convinced Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt to join Jee Le Zaraa
Priyanka, who had her daughter Malti Marie through surrogacy earlier this year, discussed being underappreciated by males in her work while speaking to PTI. The actor said, "In my professional life, women have always been treated as second-class citizens to men. The heroes decide the location, the actors, and the plot. It is dull. Women need to be able to exercise agency in their lives now more than ever." Priyanka mentioned during their conversation that she called Alia and Katrina before Farhan and the rest of the crew joined the project. She stated that she wants to work on a Hindi movie but only on " terms of women."
Why did she think of this? "I contacted Alia and Katrina; this was before Farhan or anyone arrived," Priyanka continued (onboard). I started by dialing the girls. I had the idea to make a Hindi movie at home. However, I preferred it to be done on women's terms. The actresses from my generation helped pave the way for the subsequent ones to be the faces on movie posters and be able to sell tickets. Therefore, I wanted to gather my pals and suggest that we make a successful movie that will be ours. In light of this, we decided to proceed. Hopefully, we'll start filming it the following year.
