In Hindi films for more than 40 years, actor-comedian Johnny Lever has amused his audience. But despite having issues in his personal life, the comedian frequently made people laugh. Johnny had to film a comedy scene for the Shah Rukh Khan-starring film Badshah (1999) when his father underwent surgery in the 1990s. Johnny spoke about how Shah Rukh supported him at the time in an old interview.

In an old interview, Lever said, “There were times when I was going through some personal issues and had to film a comedy scene. One such time was when my father had to be operated on, I was a bit preoccupied with it, but I still had to shoot a comic sequence.”

“Now I don’t let my personal issues interfere with work, so at that time I had not told anyone about this issue. I don’t know how, but Shah Rukh Khan came into the room I was in and said he heard about my father. He continued saying that if I needed anything I could tell him. This was during the film Badshah,” he added.

Shah Rukh Khan and Johnny Lever have collaborated on more than 15 movies over the years. They have worked on a number of movies together, including Baazigar (1993), Karan Arjun (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Yes Boss (1997), and Dilwale (2015).
