Welcome 3: Akshay Kumar And Raveena Tandon Reunite After 19 Years With ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, To Begin Shoot From ‘THIS’ Date (Details Inside)

Reports indicate that Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal will be reprising their roles, while the iconic Munna Bhai duo, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, will replace Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. Speculations suggest that Suniel Shetty has also joined the cast. ‘Welcome’, released in 2007 and directed by Priyadarshan, has attained cult status, continuing to inspire memes on platforms like Instagram.

Interestingly, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ is expected to reunite Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon on the big screen. The former couple, known for hit films like ‘Mohra’ (1994) and ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’ (1996), has fans excited for their on-screen reunion. Exclusive information from News18 Showsha reveals that discussions between Raveena and director Ahmed Khan began as early as 2019 during the shooting of the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 9.

A source told News18, “It was during Nach Baliye 9 that Raveena and Ahmed struck up a friendship. Ahmed was keen on working with her and upon conveying the same, the Aranyak also expressed her excitement about collaborating with him. He went on to approach Raveena with a script, which has now taken the shape of Welcome To The Jungle.”

The source also indicates that Raveena and Akshay will be paired opposite each other, promising uproarious laughter with their humor-filled scenes in the film. Paresh Rawal recently mentioned that if all goes as planned, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ will commence filming in October this year, a detail that the source corroborates.

In the ‘Welcome’ franchise, the second installment titled ‘Welcome Back’ was released in 2015, starring John Abraham and Shruti Haasan.
