The same film's director, Apoorva Lakhia, recalls how certain producers threatened him for choosing to put Vivek in the project after his conference. It was claimed that if he kept casting Vivek in the movie, he wouldn't get any employment. Apoorva, however, refused to back down and asserted in a recent interview that Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty had urged him to complete the movie. according to Apoorva, Vivek's talent cannot be taken away from him. It was claimed that many individuals in the business shunned Vivek as a result of his altercation with Salman Khan.
