Vidya Balan is a Bollywood actress who is known for her strong parts in films like 'Parineeta', 'Ishqiya,' 'The Dirty Picture', 'Kahaani,' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa'. Balan said she wasn't happy with the parts she was given at first: "In a lot of my early films, I played the romantic interest, but it wasn't satisfying. I wanted more meat on the bones. Many of my works did well at the box office, so some people asked me, "Do you want to upset the apple cart?" You're doing good work, keep it up.' I thought to myself, "Good work is very personal."

During this time, she felt like she was just going through her parts and films on autopilot and not adding anything important. But everything changed when she was given the role of Krishna in the movie 'Ishqiya.' Krishna was a strong woman who was in charge of her own sexuality. Vidya Balan remembered being so excited about the chance that she said, "Oh my god! I thought I was ready for this."

Even though some people told her not to take the part because the movie wasn't popular or was art house, Balan was determined to do it. She said that playing Krishna made her feel like she was "reborn as an actor" and talked about how well-defined the part was compared to some of her other roles, which she had trouble understanding fully.

She said, "Here, I felt like she was a real woman with a strong desire for justice who would do anything to get it. So, I thought, "Let's see how this movie does and then see what happens. If this is my "last" movie, then so be it."

Balan's last role was as Maya Menon in the movie 'Jalsa', which was directed by Suresh Triveni. Her next movie, 'Neeyat', will be a riddle and will be directed by Anu Menon. In it, she will play the role of Mira Rao. Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, and other stars are also in the movie, which is set to come out in theatres on July 7.
