Vicky Kaushal finds Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi “breathtakingly amazing”
Starring Alia Bhatt in the titular role, Gangubai Kathiawadi is one of the most-awaited films of 2022. After facing several delays, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial is finally set to enter cinemas on 25th February, 2022.
Ahead of the film’s release, the makers organised a special screening which saw the attendance of several prominent names from the industry, including Rekha, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Vicky Kaushal.
After watching the film, Vicky Kaushal could not stop himself from showering praises on the entire team of Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) actor took to his Instagram page and wrote, “Absolutely shook by the sheer brilliance on display in this film. SLB sir, you are a master! And Alia Bhatt… I don't even know what to say about you. Breathtakingly amazing as Gangu! Hats off. Big Screen Cinema Magic. Don't miss it!”
In addition to Alia Bhatt, Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Jim Sarbh, and Seema Pahwa. Superstar Ajay Devgn will be seen in a special cameo. The film is inspired by Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.
The film is set to arrive in theatres this Friday on February 25, 2022.
