Genelia D’Souza who has worked in south and Hindi films for many years was on a break from films. But she has been showing off her acting skills in her Instagram reels but fans have been waiting for her on-screen comeback. And now the wait is over, the actress is set to mark her return on the silver screens. Actress Genelia D'Souza revealed the first poster of her Marathi debut film Ved which is directed by her husband Ritesh Deshmukh who also plays the male lead. The film is slated to hit the theatres on December 30.

She released numerous posters for Ved, in which she is pictured with her husband Riteish Deshmukh, who is making his feature film directing debut. Riteish can be spotted smoking while sporting a tough appearance. Genelia, on the other hand, looked like a typical Indian girl. Genelia shared the posters and added an emotive Marathi caption which in English meant, "In Maharashtra, I was born. After I began acting, I made movies in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, among other languages. I received a lot of support from the audience there. With Ritesh's first feature under his direction, I am making my Marathi film debut. Working in Marathi makes me feel like I've completed the circle.”

Genelia’s last film

2003's Tujhe Meri Kasam served as Genelia's theatrical debut. Her most recent full-length appearance was in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, directed by Mandeep Kumar. She made cameo appearances in movies like Force 2 and Jai Ho during her ten-year sabbatical from Bollywood. For the Marathi film Mauli, she also wore the producer's hat.
