In September 2021, reports emerged that Varun Dhawan was all set to collaborate with acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani on a new film. The latest update suggests that the actor is on the verge of signing the project on the dotted line. It has been titled Made In India, as per reports.

If a report carried by an entertainment portal is to be believed, the rising cases of coronavirus delayed the official confirmation. The team is now looking at beginning production in the second half of this year.

By the second half of 2022, Dhawan would have wrapped up Sajid Nadiadwala’s untitled film that Nitesh Tiwari is helming. Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis, a biopic on Arun Kheterpal, is also expected to finish production by then. The actor is also said to have signed Raj & DK’s Indian adaptation of the global thriller series Citadel.
