Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu is enjoying time with her baby girl, Devi's arrival. She and her husband have been basking in the joy of being parents for the first time after their marriage six years ago. They welcomed their daughter on November 12, 2022. Earlier, there was a time when she was termed a Sex symbol in India. In an old interview, she spoke about her feelings and how she has dealt with such terms.
Bipasha made her Bollywood debut in the thriller film, 'Ajnabee' in 2001. Since then, she has been called 'sexy' by her fans, and her chiseled figure has become heart-melting for many of them. Afterward, she worked on films, Jism, No Entry, Raaz, and Dhoom 2. However, she and her toned body are always the topics of discussion amongst her fans and critics. Moreover, she got trolled for her bold photoshoots during her pregnancy, in which she flaunted her baby bump.
In an old interview, Bipasha Basu got asked about her feeling about being tagged as a 'sex symbol.' She responded to that by saying initially she used to get scared by these terms. Because from the first film only, she used to get a role based on the same concepts. However, she has evolved after some time and started taking it as a compliment. She said, "I have to look good constantly, sometimes it's scary. Initially, It was a bit uncomfortable, because in India, when you are said you're that (a Sex Symbol), then there is nothing beyond it. You're just a sex Symbol. You're not an actress, that's the way people talk about it. I am doing different kinds of roles every time, but what people see is, 'Sexy Bipasha Basu.' I don't understand. (But) Now I have accepted it as a very big compliment. I always say I would like to be sexy even if I am 180, till the time I live."
