To put all doubts to rest, the production firm made the formal announcement on Twitter.
The music for the upcoming film will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who previously worked with Lokesh on Vikram and Leo. Anirudh's prior work on Rajini's most recent film, ‘Jailer’, comprised a smash record and an unforgettable background score. Anbu-Arivu, a stunt choreographer team, has also been hired for the project. More information will be released in due course.
TJ Gnanavel, who helmed the critically acclaimed ‘Jai Bhim’, will direct Rajnikanth's next project. Meanwhile, Lokesh is concentrating on finishing post-production work on his film ‘Leo.’ In addition, he has ‘Kaithi 2’ and ‘Vikram 2’ in the works.
There is conjecture that ‘Leo’ and ‘Thalaivar 171’ are part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which aims to unite all of Tamil Cinema's superstars together.
