Fans and acquaintances of Sushmita Sen were astonished when she revealed yesterday on social media that she had experienced a heart attack and had even undergone an angioplasty to place a stent.
Sushmita did admit that she had a heart attack a few days earlier, but she withheld further information about her medical issue.
According to reports, the ‘Aarya’ actress underwent an angioplasty treatment on February 27 at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital and was released on March 1.
Now the reports have now ascertained the time and location of the cardiac attack. “Sushmita was shooting for one of her assignments when she developed discomfort in her chest. She was examined by a medical professional on the set and then she was immediately taken to the hospital," stated the source
When Sushmita arrived at the hospital, the cardiologist and a group of medical professionals took care of her and suggested the angioplasty surgery.
Sushmita needed to be hospitalized so that doctors could monitor her vital signs and check how her newly implanted stent was working because this operation was non-invasive and only required a minor incision. "Sushmita was back home on March 1 and she was feeling perfectly fine", revealed the source. She referred to this in her post "..most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed I do have a big heart. Lots of people to thank for their timely aid & constructive action.will do so in another post!"
