Although ‘Gadar 2’, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has achieved blockbuster status, a new report has revealed that Sunny is poised to feature in ‘Border 2’. The movie will reportedly be directed by JP Dutta, the director of the original 1997 film. While the original cast, other than Sunny, will not return, the film is set to feature a new generation of actors. An official announcement about the film is anticipated in the coming weeks.

‘Gadar 2's success continues to soar, with a current domestic box office collection of ₹336 crore. The film, directed by Anil Sharma, is expected to surpass the ₹350 crore benchmark and potentially aim for ₹400 crore. A sequel to the 2001 blockbuster ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, the film unfolds in 1971 and follows Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) as he embarks on a journey to Pakistan to rescue his son, Charanjeet Singh (Utkarsh Sharma), from the clutches of the Pakistani Army.
