Veteran actress Sulochana Latkar passed away on June 4, 2023. The actress passed away while receiving treatment for a protracted age-related illness in a hospital in Mumbai. The Bollywood industry was shocked when she passed away at the age of 94.

Sulochana Latkar has performed in more than 200 films, such as in Hindi and Marathi film industry. She is well-known for her work in the films 'Mr. and Mrs.,' 'Ab Dilli Dur Nahin,' 'Nagin,' and 'Shree 420.' She was also awarded the Padma Shri, a civilian honour.
Amitabh Bachchan portrayed her son in films, and paid tribute to the late actress. Big B claimed in an interview that she was in fact a mother figure to the Hindi and Marathi film industries.
