SRK to attend Ranbir & Alia's wedding reception on April 16
After dating each other for more than three years, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally tied the knot on April 14. The couple's wedding pictures, which have gone viral on social media, show the newlyweds completely infatuated with each other.
Alia also shared some pictures from the Mehendi ceremony, which for her was a day of love, family and happy memories. Taking to Instagram, she wrote- "The Mehendi was like something out of a dream. It was a day full of love, family, our beautiful best friends, a LOT of French fries, a surprise performance by the ladkewalas, Ayan playing DJ, a BIG surprise organised by Mr. Kapoor (my favourite artist performed my favourite songs), all followed by some happy tears and quiet, blissful moments with the love of my life. There are days and then there are days like these (sic)."
While the wedding is over, the excitement and interest around the event has not waned even a bit. As per reports, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be hosting a small and intimate gathering (akin to a reception) at their home ‘Vastu’ in Mumbai. Earlier, it was being said that the duo would host a large gathering at Mumbai's iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. However, Neetu Kapoor later confirmed on the wedding day that there would be no such reception party.
From what we hear, the intimate gathering will be attended by Alia and Ranbir's close friends from the film fraternity. And one of the main guests would be none other than the King Khan of Bollywood- Shah Rukh Khan.
“Shah Rukh is close to both Alia and Ranbir and he will definitely be there for the reception,” a source close to the couple revealed.
Other invitees who are expected to attend the event are Varun Dhawan and directors SS Rajamouli and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Ranbir’s best friend Ayan Mukerji and Alia’s mentor Karan Johar will also be present.
