Sonakshi Sinha's legal issues do not appear to have subsided. According to recent reports, the actress has been summoned to appear in a Moradabad court in Uttar Pradesh next month in connection with a 2019 fraud case. The event organiser Pramod Sharma accused Sonakshi of cheating, criminal conspiracy, and breach of trust at the time.
The Dabangg (2010) actress is said to be in legal jeopardy after a non-bailable warrant was issued in a fraud case against her. The actress is accused of failing to show up for an event for which she reportedly received Rs 37 lakh in advance.
According to an ETimes article, Sonakshi was invited to an event as the chief guest by event organiser Pramod Sharma, a resident of Moradabad's Katghar police station area. However, the actress did not show up for the event, prompting the event organiser to request a refund. According to the police report, the money was deposited to Sonakshi's account in anticipation of her attendance at the event, but she did not show up.
Sonakshi was said to have travelled to Moradabad to record her statement in the case. However, due to her continued absence after that, the court has now issued a warrant against the Bollywood actress in the fraud case.
Sonakshi lately returned from the 'Da-Bangg' tour, where she was joined by Salman Khan, Disha Patani, Pooja Hegde, Saiee M Manjrekar and others.
