Mission Majnu, a Netflix original film starring Sidharth Malhotra, debuted its first poster on Tuesday. The movie, which is based on actual events, will tell the tale of one of India's most significant missions and allow viewers to experience a wide range of emotions. Rashmika Mandanna will also appear in the Shantanu Bagchi-directed film, which will debut on the streaming service on January 20.
In the poster, Sidharth can be seen carrying a gun while wearing a brown pathani suit and a jacket. You could be reminded of Shah Rukh Khan's Raees by his kohl eyes and the amulet around his neck. The Netflix post's caption said, ‘Ek jaanbaaz agent ki ansuni kahaani.MISSION MAJNU Only on Netflix, 20th January.’
Operation Majnu, according to the film's production team, would immerse viewers in ‘the emotions of devotion, love, sacrifices, and treachery with an action-packed screenplay where one false move can make or break the mission.’
He continued, "It depicts India's most exhilarating clandestine mission, which changed the politics between India and its neighboring country in the 1970s. The actor explained how his character will be a master of manipulation in a prior interview, while not being James Bond.
Mission Majnu is the story of India's emerging prowess and place in the world as a superpower, both as the fastest-growing country in the world and the biggest democracy - and stories like these show how we laid the foundation for our standing, according to producer Ronnie Screwvala. Because of Netflix's extensive global audience, this topic is ideally suited for them. The story is brought to life by Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandana, and RSVP is thrilled to present it.
Mission Majnu, according to Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix, "packs grit, emotion, drama, and entrancing music that will make for a watching delight for our members in India and throughout the world."
Co-produced by RSVP and GBA, Mission Majnu will also star Kumud Mishra, Parmeet Sethi, Sharib Hashmi, Mir Sarwar, and Zakir Hussain.
This is Sidharth Malhotra’s second direct-to-digital release after the acclaimed Shershaah. He also has Yodha in the pipeline along with Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited web show Indian Police Force.
