Shraddha Kapoor has chosen yet another bold story based on real life after playing Haseena Parkar, the Godmother of Nagpada in Mumbai. Rukhsana, a Kashmiri girl who killed a Lashkar-E-Taiba (LeT) militant, will be portrayed by Shraddha Kapoor. According to a source close to the talented actress, "The movie's producers were looking for a Rukhsana who would appear to be 20 years old on screen. Without a doubt, Shraddha will do the role admirably. She was therefore added to the film. In contrast to the roles she has played in most of her films, Shraddha's in this one is entirely different."
For those who are unfamiliar with Rukhsana Kausar KC, she is a young Kashmiri woman who became famous overnight after killing one LeT terrorist and injuring another in her home in Jammu & Kashmir's Rajouri district. On the evening of September 27, 2009, a group of terrorists stormed Rukhsana's home. She and her brother defeated Abu Osama of the LeT, took his AK-47, and shot him, killing him instantly.
She is currently receiving appreciation for her cameo in the viral Bhediya song Thumkeshwari, which stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. In addition, the actress will appear in the much anticipated Stree 2 and Luv Ranjan's untitled follow-up starring Ranbir Kapoor.
