Bollywood films had a very dull run at the box office in 2022 where only a few films could manage to be a hit including ‘Drishyam 2’, ‘Brahmastra’, and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. Audiences had held their hope that this year would be good and promising and it did open with a bang. As Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathaan’ got released at the end of January. The charm and magic that SRK brought to the screens were unmatchable. People flooded to theatres and shows were sold out, fans were excited to watch their biggest star on the silver screen back after four years. The film managed to earn unimaginable numbers at the box office throughout its run and is still running successfully.
‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, was released in theatres on January 25. The film was released in Hindi and dubbed in Tamil and Telugu. The film has surpassed Baahubali 2 as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. Pathaan celebrated its 50th day in theatres on March 15 and is now playing in 20 countries!
