Shabana Azmi, one of the most popular actresses of her age, got her start in 1974 with the movie 'Ankur.' During her career, she was in many Hindi films, including 'Antarnaad,' 'Shatranj Ke Khiladi,' 'Khandhar,' 'Genesis,' 'Ek Din Achanak,' 'Paar,' 'Sati,' 'Arth,' 'Amar Akbar Anthony,' and 'Parvarish,' among others. She also did films in Hollywood, like 'Madame Sousatzka' by John Schlesinger and 'City of Joy' by Roland Joffe.

But even the famous Shabana Azmi had to deal with a humiliating moment on the set of 'Parvarish.' In a recent podcast chat, she talked about the event and how she was almost done with acting. During the shooting of a dance scene, Shabana did not practise enough. The choreographer, Kamal, made fun of her in front of the younger artists, which made her cry. Shabana said she couldn't dance and asked for practice, but Kamal said there was no need. Even more scary for her was the fact that she had to dance with her co-star, Neetu Kapoor.
Shabana was very nervous and embarrassed, so she chose to leave the set barefoot and run back to her house. She was sure that she would never work in films again, but the film's director, Manmohan Desai, and the producer were able to calm her down. The next day, Neetu Singh asked about what happened, which almost made Shabana give up playing for good. The Indian playback artist Sulakshana Pandit was a big part of what helped Shabana feel better at that time. Shabana needed some encouragement, and Sulakshana showed her that as the main lady, she was much more important to the movie than the choreographer.

Shabana Azmi will always be thankful to Sulakshana for the help she gave her during that hard time. Even though she was embarrassed, she kept going with her acting career and made an indelible mark on the film business. Shabana was recently in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,' a movie by Karan Johar that also starred Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra. Her journey in the world of movies shows how strong and talented she is. This makes her an inspiration for people who want to be artists.
