Ashneer Grover, a judge on Shark Tank India and a successful businessman, captured everyone's attention with his strong opinions and forthright demeanour. When it came to giving entrepreneurs feedback on the show, the businessman was rather forthright. Many of Ashneer's exchanges during the run of Shark Tank India went viral and caused a stir on the internet. He once shared a hilarious but enlightening incident that occured with him.
The former managing director and co-founder of the Indian financial company BharatPe remembered a time when he attempted to negotiate with Salman Khan's team to have him serve as the brand ambassador for one of his business endeavours. Grover said that he wanted Salman Khan to join the project but said he didn't want to spend a lot of money on him.
Grover recalled the four-year-old incident and said, as it was reported, at a recent campus function, “In 2019 I intended to enlist Salman Khan as a brand ambassador. Nobody could have ever thought of it. I was a small company and I wanted to generate trust overnight and so I thought of making Salman Khan my brand ambassador.”
He further revealed that Khan’s manager said, “‘ Bhindi kharidne aaye ho kya? (Sir have you come to buy vegetables? How much will you negotiate?)’, to which I said, ‘I don’t have the money to give’.”
With his stint in Shark Tank India, Ashneer Grover garnered many admirers. The reality show's second season is anticipated to feature his comeback.
