The Dingko Singh biography, which was supposed to star Shahid Kapoor, has been put on hold, according to director Raja Krishna Menon. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Menon said, "That movie has been put on hold." We were talking about a fighting movie. It had its time. You have to move on sometimes."

Menon still wants to work with Shahid Kapoor in the future, even though the setback happened, and he stressed how important it was to find the right story. He said, "Shahid and I speak about these ideas a lot, but as Ishaan says – if I were to find a subject, it has to do justice to so many things, including the character Shahid needs to play."
They choose the stories they tell because of bigger issues, as Menon said, "There are bigger issues at play in terms of the kind of story we need to tell." The story we find should be great, I hope. It's just that I want to make movies with friends now that I think about it.
