Shahid Kapoor's 2003 fantasy debut, 'Ishq Vishk', sent many hearts aflutter. After extended periods of entertaining his fans with his chocolate boy appearances, the actor shifted direction with movies like 'Kaminey', 'Haider', 'Udta Punjab', and most recently 'Farzi'. Shahid has a s remarkable list of work, but he has also turned down projects that went on to become box-office successes.

Bang Bang

Siddharth Anand's spy thriller "Bang Bang" was a remake of the Hollywood film "Knight and Day." The movie was a huge success at the box office. Few people are aware that before Hrithik Roshan, the filmmakers had contacted Shahid Kapoor for the film, even though it starred Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the key parts. But Shahid chose ‘Haider’ over ‘Bang Bang’.

Raanjhanna

Tamil actor Dhanush was able to enter the Bollywood film industry thanks to Aanand L Rai's "Raanjhanaa" film. For his part in the movie, the celebrity earned a tonne of love and adoration. But did you know that he wasn't the film's producers' first choice? Shahid was first given the part. He declined the offer, nevertheless, for reasons that are best known to him.

Rockstar

Ranbir Kapoor's performance in Imtiaz Ali's "Rockstar" received a lot of positive reviews, and it changed his career. However, Shahid was the initial pick for the role, not Ranbir. 'Jab We Met' and the film were apparently the first things the director gave Shahid. He chose "Jab We Met" with Kareena Kapoor instead of "Rockstar," which also went on to become a box office smash.

Rang De Basanti

'Rang De Basanti' by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is one of the most well-known movies produced in Bollywood. Shahid said in an interview with Neha Dhupia on her talk show that he had to let go of the beloved film "Rang De Basanti." He said that he was sorry he passed on the project. The actor said, "I was given the part of Siddharth." He had shed tears while reading the screenplay and had fallen in love with it, but he was unable to read it. The movie ultimately saw success at the box office.

Once Upon A Time In Mumbaii Dobara

'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobara' producers allegedly wanted Shahid Kapoor and Akshay Kumar to share the screen. However, after watching its predecessor, "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai," the former turned down the offer. Imran Khan, who worked on the Milan Luthria-directed film starring Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, was ultimately given the opportunity to play Aslam Siddiqui.
