Jersey's producers are not leaving any stone unturned in their attempts to promote the upcoming movie starring Shahid Kapoor. They recently released the film's second trailer, which piqued the interest of fans. In a new interview with a news website, the actor discussed his movie with Mrunal Thakur.

When asked if any special preparations were made for Jersey, Shahid told CNN-News 18, "We did four months of training." We began in Bombay, where we played on hard surfaces. We began with throwdowns. For four months, I spent four to five hours a day playing cricket and then a lot of time on set."

Shahid went on to say that despite suffering from serious injuries, he had a great time playing cricket on set. He went on to say that there isn't a single special effect in the film and that they played correct cricket on appropriate pitches with state-level players to keep it authentic.

Jersey is set to hit theatres on April 13 and will compete with Yash's KGF: Chapter 2. The movie is an official Bollywood remake of the same-named National Award-winning Telugu sports drama. Nani was the main character in the first one. The film, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, stars Shahid as a cricketer. In addition to Shahid, Pankaj Kapur will play the lead in the film. It should be noted that this is Shahid's first collaborative project with Mrunal Thakur. Aside from Jersey, Shahid is working on a web series with Raj and DK.
